Workshops: Performance Feedback with a Purpose

As a leader you are responsible for developing others and ensuring that they are performing at their best. This role requires you to provide performance feedback, both positive and corrective.

Giving and receiving feedback effectively is difficult. When done well it can have significant and dramatic impact on performance and your relationship with those you lead. When done poorly it can be destructive, counterproductive and awkward. Helping others to be successful is too important a job to leave feedback to guesswork. This practical, hands-on workshop will provide you with the knowledge, tools and skills to learn how to do it well.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Discuss the importance of providing feedback and recognition in business terms

  • Be provided with the principles for providing highly effective positive and corrective feedback

  • Learn to create the right environment for giving feedback

  • Learn and apply a practical series of steps that reinforces and recognizes good performance

  • Learn and apply corrective feedback, leading to improved performance

  • Practice the principles and steps in a series of scenarios based on real life work situations

  • Learn the importance of documenting both formal and informal feedback discussions
