Workshops: Handling Conflict in the Workplace

Conflicts are a natural and inevitable part of people working together, sharing diverse thoughts, concerns, perspectives, and goals. As a leader, you are going to have to deal with conflict situations both as a mediator, to help resolve conflicts between others, and as a participant when you are in conflict with someone. These situations can be complex and difficult to manage.

This workshop will provide the skills and understanding needed to address the most common workplace conflicts effectively. Exploring the stages, understanding the causes, determining the best approach and following the essential steps will ensure you can address and manage conflict in a positive, appropriate and successful manner.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Learn three stages of workplace hostility and how to prevent hostility from escalating

  • Learn a 6-step model to help you deal with difficult workplace situations

  • Learn how to apply resolution skills using a series of scenarios based on typical workplace situations
